Methodology

In percent-to-salary mode, the calculator multiplies current salary by the hike percentage and adds the increase to the current salary. In salary-to-percent mode, it compares the difference against the current salary to calculate the hike percentage.

Monthly values are annual values divided by 12. This is a simple salary comparison and does not estimate tax, PF, professional tax, or employer-specific payroll structure.

FAQs

Can I calculate both hike percent and new salary?

Yes. Use percent-to-salary mode when you know the hike percentage, or salary-to-percent mode when you know the new salary amount.

Should I enter CTC or in-hand salary?

Use the same salary basis for both inputs. For example, compare annual CTC to annual CTC, or monthly in-hand to monthly in-hand.

Does this include taxes or payroll deductions?

No. This calculator only compares salary amounts. Use the CTC to In-Hand calculator for deduction and tax assumptions.
